| Description | Irithin stands at about 5'7'', with a stature like a willowy branch. His black hair falls past his shoulders, which he wears in a small, bound ponytail. His eyes are deep blue, though they have taken on a feral, snakelike appearance, and the once white sclera has turned black. This is a trait which is rarely seen, as Irithin keeps his eyes blindfolded with dark cloth most of the time. His skintone is pale, and he has a small, black tattoo on his forehead. Accompanying this mark is a piece of bloody red stone that seems to have been driven into his flesh, though it does not seem to bother him. Irithin has gone through a series of metamorphoses, giving him several traits which commonly only belong to Malakym or Demons. He has dark claws on his hands and feet and sleek horns along his head, as well as fangs and a spaded tail. He tends to keep these traits hidden out of necessity. He also always has his forearms covered, concealing silvery, web-like tattoos which run across them. These marks were placed on him by the Grand Oracle, sealing away the divine gift that gave him his Sight. Irithin commonly wears long robes and cooler colors. He also carries a strange staff, carved from black wood, beset with silver runes, and topped with what appears to be a half frozen Inuun skull decorated with dark gems. |
| Personality | Irithin is a very serious individual. He tends to be smug on occasion, though he knows how to treat others with proper respect. He has gained wisdom where he was once lacking, and has become cunning, manipulative, and cold where there was once a frightened young man. Irithin still harbors an intense phobia of ice and cold, as well as confined spaces. However, this affliction only rears its head if Irithin is not the one in control of such forces. |
| Notes | While Irithin has been forbidden to tap the divine gift that once gave him his Sight, he now wields his visions in a different form. The stone in his forehead, known as the Demon's Tear, focuses the past, the present, and all possible future events into constant visions. While the artifact had driven all of its previous users insane, and nearly did the same to Irithin, his discipline with the Sight kept the visions at bay long enough. By binding his eyes, he was able to block the overflow of the visions, using the artifact itself to see both the present and the immediate future. He uses common Seer tools to focus his visions appropriately - such as bones, cards, and various other items - allowing him to unbind his eyes and see everything necessary. Removal of the binding without a focus causes the overflow that would, if left unchecked, drive him mad. Irithin is an extremely powerful empath. He can influence and even change the emotions of anyone in his vicinity, or anyone he can see clearly in a vision. His command over emotions is also a wide range, allowing him to dampen or amplify any emotional impulse he chooses. Control or manipulation of an individual is often accompanied by what appear to be red threads, though they are extremely difficult to perceive. The staff that Irithin carries bears the skull of Ishtar, regenerated from the fragments left after she was destroyed. It serves as an anchor for her soul, similar to a phylactery. Irithin is responsible for returning Ishtar to unlife, though during the ritual, he bound her wandering spirit to his command. Though Ishtar is free to do as she wills, she cannot harm Irithin, and must answer whenever she is summoned, either by channeling her magic for him to use on his own, or manifesting to assist him directly. Oddly enough, Ishtar does not seem to mind, telling him that it showed tenacity and foresight, both of which he had previously lacked. |
